Assertive Communication

Part of both the Management and Workplace Excellence Series.  This module can be taught as a standalone session or combined with other modules to meet your organization's needs.

Successful completion of this course will increase your knowledge and ability to:

¨       Identify barriers to effective communication and ways to overcome them.
¨       Identify communication styles and how they impact communication.
¨       Investigate different styles for communicating.
¨       Identify common communication filters and their potential impact.
¨       Describe strategies for a TACTFUL conversation.
¨       Identify appropriate situations in which to be assertive.
¨       Demonstrate asking for what you want/need in a skills practice.
